SIMPLY CHRISTMAS

The first of the ‘Simply Christmas’ markets in the Royal Square takes place this week,  starting on Thursday 23 November and continuing over the weekend.

It will be the first of three four-day weekends.

The Genuine Jersey Simply Christmas Markets will bring a labyrinth of stalls oozing with festive magic, beautiful gifts and tasty treats sold by more than 60 local artisans and producers.

Genuine Jersey chief executive John Garton said: ‘We absolutely love the Genuine Jersey Simply Christmas Markets; they’re the highlight of our calendar! Over three four-day weekends visitors to the markets will have the chance to come and soak up the atmosphere whilst purchasing directly from local artisans, many of whom will have spent the past few months making, creating and building up their stock. Some of them will have been working hard since last year to ensure they have beautiful things for you to buy.

‘In fact, everything you see will have been made, created, reared or caught by a Genuine Jersey Members. Many of them also have day jobs alongside their creative outlets so the markets represent a big investment for them all.

‘Being able to run the markets wouldn’t be possible without the input of our sponsors Signtech CI or the support of the Government of Jersey, we simply wouldn’t be able to provide our Members with this fabulous platform to sell their goods if it wasn’t for them.’

Alongside the stalls there will be hot food, drinks, and a programme of local musicians and entertainment throughout the three weekends, making the markets the perfect place to buy unique gifts directly from the artisans who have created and produced them, while soaking up the atmosphere and embracing the festive cheer.

The Markets will be open:-
