The sudden death of Sadie Le Sueur-Rennard has come as a sad and sudden shock to all of us at RURAL magazine.
Little did we realise, when we interviewed her for the latest ‘Spring’ issue of the magazine, and took the picture of her for the front cover, showing her surrounded by her beloved cows, that so soon afterwards we would be noting, with great regret, her passing.
As so many of the tributes to her have said, Sadie was a great character and an exponent of the values that make Jersey, Jersey. The Island will rightly mourn the passing of a notable representative of Jersey’s traditional rural way of life.
The music of choirs of angels will now be joined by the strains of the American country music of which she was so fond and by her rendition of ‘Beautiful Jersey’.
RURAL magazine extends its condolences to all her family and many friends. A full obituary will follow
