Registration is now open for this year’s annual Jersey Farming Conference, titled ‘The Farming Horizon.’
It will take place at La Mare Wine Estate (and on-line) on Thursday 11 November 2021.
Each year the conference brings the local farming community together with politicians and government officials to hear from industry experts speaking around a central theme, which this year that is ‘the Farming Horizon.’ Topics will include: the challenges the farmers face today; industry advances; crop diversification; new markets and opportunities; environmental considerations.
Farm Jersey chief executive John Garton said: ‘We’re looking forward to another packed Jersey Farming Conference and to welcoming the high calibre of speakers that we have joining us from the industry.’
The Jersey Farming Conference is organised by Farm Jersey, with funding from the Government of Jersey, and is once again sponsored by Jersey Water. This year, new sponsors are local accountancy, investment management and tax specialists Smith & Williamson.
The Jersey Farming Conference is open to all businesses and individuals who have an interest in the rural economy. The conference will also be live streamed and recordings of all the presentations will be available post event at www.jerseyfarmingconference.com.
