This letter was sent to readers who subscribed to RURAL magazine last year, on 19 March 2014:
‘VERY shortly the new ‘Spring’ issue will be available and will be distributed around the Island before the Easter holiday.
It will be available in a wide range of outlets, and with every issue RURAL magazine seems to become more widespread and visible around the Island. A short list of some of the outlets follows at the foot of this post.
As in previous issues, the content of the magazine will be about Jersey’s country life, rural economy, local community and local events. In this coming issue, there will be sections on horse racing in Jersey – the season of the Jersey Race Club is about to begin, and the Jersey Boat Show, which will happen in May and falls within the life of this next issue.
The magazine is quarterly. After the Spring issue in April will come the Summer issue in July, the Autumn issue in October and the Winter issue in early January 2015.
*In combination with the magazine there is now a website that has recently gone ‘live’: ruraljersey.co.uk, which is aimed in part to ‘fill the gaps’ between the quarterly issues and to cover local topics as they happen.
*We will deliver a minimum of five copies of the magazine to any one address in the Island, free of charge.
*However, if you would like to receive a copy of RURAL sent to your home address, ‘hot off the press’ to read for your own enjoyment, then could we ask you please to help us by paying the postage costs of sending it to you.
The magazine has always been a free publication and the magazine itself will continue to be free of charge.
So the amount we would ask you please to send us would be £10. This will cover the cost of posting the next four issues (spring, summer, autumn and winter) within Jersey, to the other Channel Islands and to the UK.
*The cost of sending the four quarterly issues to mainland Europe would be £15.
