The next Jersey Horse of the Year Show (JHOYS) will be in 2025. There will be no JHOYS this year.
The show started in 2022 and took place again the following year in 2023.
JHOYS chairwoman Karen Barette said: ‘Going forward, we are very aware we have a much smaller equine community in Jersey than the UK, so we feel it is so important to keep JHOYS special and exciting, with new combinations of horse and riders competing, and making sure we keep its unique style. This way our team can put 100% into delivering the professional equestrian experience that the competitors, sponsor and spectators all deserve.
There is so much work which goes into organising JHOYS, our team are all volunteers and we all want to make sure we can continue to excel and go over and above for this fantastic event which we are so proud to have created.’
In years between the JHOYS events (i.e. this year), a ‘Summer Sunshine Show’ will be held, to include fun classes and to enable riders to have a goal to work towards and to keep improving ready for JHOYS 2025.
